Vehicle Donation Program — Detailed Description
SRQ Vets accepts donated cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans for evaluation. SRQ Vets does not automatically sell every donated vehicle. Each vehicle is reviewed for safety, mechanical condition, repair cost, reliability, expected useful life, and affordability for the veteran who may receive it.
When practical, SRQ Vets repairs and prepares the vehicle and provides it directly to a local veteran in Sarasota, Manatee, or DeSoto County. A vehicle that is unsafe, uneconomical to repair, or too costly for a veteran to insure, fuel, service, or maintain may be sold. Proceeds from sold vehicles support SRQ Vets' local veteran assistance programs.
Direct placement is determined individually and cannot be guaranteed. Running and nonrunning vehicles may be considered.
